CONTINUUM

I just botched a painting job. I think I did, coz the colour is not even and I already went over it like 10 times. First of all, I don’t know who paints at night but I call it dedication….now I’m sitting here staring at the wall trying to make my eyes like it…It’s kinda growing on me but the curtains definitely have to go….to think I changed the colour of the wall to match the curtains….pity. Anyway, I hope it looks better with natural lighting.

Of everything DIY I thought painting should be the easiest, I was wrong. Tomorrow I will have to find a way to clean the edges….and my hands. Whilst I seem to be bent on disapproving my may-be first ever DIY…I was kind of in a mood because of this story I saw on TUKO talks and a not so good paint job seems to be the tug I needed to get it off my mind.

It’s really true that getting up on your feet and moving, literally lifts up your mood. So as you might have guessed, the TUKO story was a sad one….with no happy ending at all…..the kind that makes you wish you didn’t click on it in the first place…because now you are privy to one more piece of information you could have appreciated not knowing…like the Dubai potta potty story or this story on Bikos blog. Fair warning, don't click.

The older I get, the more I appreciate people because I see what they are capable of and what they survive. It is an inevitable human experience to go through different waves of suffering and yet…somehow we… (What do we do really?)

I would like to use words like OVERCOME, TRIUMPH, MOVE ON….the happy endings we long for, the little silver lining or the light at the end of the tunnel BUT…sometimes it just is…we go through it…and stay Taliban.

Well, sad things aside….I am trying to get back on my groove…I think by now we can agree that consistency is a superpower for the gods. I, being a tiny little earthling can only try so much…one of those things that just is...

Anything but tidy….

A close shave

My two cents...
